Cosmogony & Origin
The supreme deity, the Great Life (Hayyi Rabbi), emanates light-beings (uthras). The material world was created by a flawed demiurge (Ptahil). The physical world is a mixture of light and darkness. Water is the primordial sacred element.
Values & Ethics
Ginza Rabba (Great Treasury) as primary scripture. John the Baptist as chief prophet. Repeated ritual immersion in flowing water.
Purpose & Salvation
To liberate the soul (nishimta) from the material world and return it to the World of Light (Alma d-Nhura). Life is valued — celibacy and asceticism are rejected. The soul must navigate purgatories (matartas) after death.
Suffering & Happiness
Suffering results from the entrapment of light-souls in the material world created by the demiurge. Darkness and ignorance oppose the World of Light. However, the physical world is not entirely evil — life and procreation are sacred.
Eschatology
At the end of time, the physical world will be consumed and all light-souls gathered back into the World of Light. The material world will cease to exist. Final judgment of souls based on deeds and ritual purity.
